Cage2Wash® cleaning products have been specifically designed for Lab Animal Research facility component and animal cage washing applications. In this venue, the use of an appropriate cleaning agent to remove animal waste and animal by-products is critical to the research program.
Cage2Wash cleaning products have the ability to rinse free from the surfaces, thus eliminating the possibility of any residual from the cleaner itself; this would compromising the program.
Cage2Wash cleaning products have been engineered to effectively remove a multitude of product residues. All products are formulated under the highest quality standards in a GMP manufacturing facility. Use dilutions range from .2% to 2% dependent upon the soil to be cleansed. Each product is shipped with a complete lot documentation package for traceability.
Cage2Wash® 1 is a high performance concentrated liquid alkaline cleaning agent designed specifically for automation cleaning in the lab animal research field. Cage2Wash 1 is formulated with potassium hydroxide, surfactants and other critically essential cleaning ingredients. The wide array of components provides a stabilized formula that is capable of cleaning a wide range of critical and non-critical contact surfaces.
Physical Properties
The formulation is VAI’s most effective broad spectrum cleaning agent that is capable of removing a wide array of proteins, oils, serums, animal fats and most types of organics. Cage2Wash 1 is safe for use on stainless steel, aluminum, copper, galvanized steel, soft metals, glass, polypropylene, polycarbonates and a wide variety of plastics at use diluting. Cage2Wash 1 is a low foaming cleaning agent (at all temperatures) and has enhanced cleaning ability to rinse free from systems. The phosphate free agent can be used in both mechanical and soak applications. Use dilutions range from .2% to 2% dependent upon the soil load to be cleaned. Cage2Wash 5 is formulated with citric acid and a unique dual surfactant system with other critically essential cleaning ingredients.

Cage2Wash® N is a highly concentrated liquid alkaline based neutralizing agent used to raise solution pH, and is specifically designed for all types of effluent treatment. It is used to neutralize acidic solutions and allow for permissible effluent compliance where pH ranges are established. Cage2Wash N is phosphate free and non-foaming.
Physical Properties
Cage2Wash N is used wherever pH adjustment is needed. The concentrate use dilution will be conditional on the pH desired and the solution “soil” to be adjusted. Concentrate Cage2Wash N should be mixed slowly to optimize results and avoid potential violent reactions. Cage2Wash N should not be diluted prior to use.
The concentrated formula minimizes the actual use dilution for low cost per use. This product is non-foaming, which is ideal for optimal automated cleaning. This product includes a lot specific documentation package, which provides product consistency and integrity. This product is phosphate free.
