As a child what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was a child, I used to want to be a vet, like my dad.
What is your professional background and what drew you to working for AB Scientific
After graduating from Strathclyde University with a 1st Class Honours in Business Enterprise back in 2019, my priority was to try and see the world. As you can imagine this was severely disrupted by the global pandemic, I needed to re-think. From a young age I have always been driven by helping people and have always wanted to be independent. I spent the best part of a year working on an NHS Track and Trace contract during the pandemic, before going back to hospitality and working as a Training Manager in a country house hotel. There were aspects of both these jobs which I loved but neither jobs fulfilled my drive to help people, or my desire for independence. For me, a career with AB Scientific was one where I could not only help people in real world situations but also have the independence I have wanted for so long. I saw in AB Scientific an opportunity with a growing company for me to make a name for myself, and grow alongside the business.
How would your colleagues describe you?
driven, enthusiastic, hardworking, conscientious.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Outside of work I spend most of my time trying to balance a social life with going to the gym and keeping fit
How has AB Scientific allowed you to grow and develop professionally and personally and what do you like best about your role here?
Although I only started with AB Scientific in December 2021, I have learnt far more than I possibly could have imagined. Having not had any experience in direct sales prior, it has challenged me. Being mentally challenged has been the best part of my role, this is something I feel I have never had in a workplace environment. Everyday has been different and so far, I have been constantly kept on my toes and pushed to be better, the support of my colleagues has made this such an enjoyable process.
