Growing up, I always enjoyed science at school & loved playing in numerous different sports teams, particularly football. When it came to applying for University, I had my heart set on Medicine as I had always wanted to be a Doctor. Having said this, I realised I wanted to qualify sooner than that would allow and decided on a degree at Newcastle University focussing on the medical applications of sport instead. I came into my role at AB Scientific following my graduation in June 2022; the opportunity to grow and learn with a vibrant, forward-thinking company was exactly what AB Scientific offered me & everyone welcomed me into the team.
2. As a child what did you want to do when you grew up?
When I was a kid, my dream was to be a Popstar… a very rich and famous one of course!
3. How would your colleagues describe you?
If I were to guess how my colleagues would describe me, I think they would say that I talk… and talk a lot, that I am always willing to put the customer first & can have a good laugh with the team.
4. What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?
Outside of work, I love spending time with my friends & family – especially with my family dog, Fred. I follow a lot of sport & try my best to go to the gym when I can… like we all do!
5. How has AB Scientific allowed you to grow and develop professionally and personally, and what do you like best about your role here?
Coming into my role as a Territory Manager last year, I had no idea how I would fit into the workplace or if I could even do the job! A year on, it is so nice to look back and see how much I have learnt about the sales process itself & what I have achieved so far. I have really enjoyed working alongside the team, it is especially nice when we can all get together at our quarterly sales meetings.
