Sheffield Microbe 2018
Last weekend AB Scientific exhibited at the Sheffield Microbe conference for their very first time and what great fun it was! This years theme was time travel and each trade stand had to take their visitors on a journey to a time of their choice. There were some great stands and fancy dress costumes on show.
At AB Scientific we decided that our time travel machine wouldn’t take people too far. We took our visitors back to the Central TV Studios of 1986 for a game of the legendary Bullseye.
The competition was simple, the highest score achieved in 6 darts would be converted to cash and donated to a charity of their choice.
Runners up were given a goody bag but not their BFH (one for the avid viewer there).
Doors opened at 7pm and boy were we busy! An exhausted AB Scientific team were glad to be closing the doors at 10:30 and heading to the bar for a well earned drink.
Thank you to everyone who visited our stand and took part in our 6 dart challenge. The standard of darts was incredible! If this had been the real Bullseye game show then Jim Bowen would have run out of speedboats! Well over 100 people took part in the competition to win money for a charity of their choice.
And The Winner Is!
Congratulations to Azhar Hussain from Walsall who topped the table with a huge 205! We will contact Azhar to arranage a donation of £205 to a charity of his choice.
A special mention also goes to Andy Ward who achieved a magnificent 200 by only hitting 20s and treble 20s. A definite player!
In total 19 people scored 101 or more in 6 darts which in the days of Bullseye would have won Bully’s special prize!
Thanks again to everyone who visited our stand and took part. We look forward to seeing you again at the next Microbe in 2020.
Unfortunately, not all darts were scoring darts:
