MeMed BV is an advanced, compact immunoassay platform designed for emergency departments, enabling highly sensitive, rapid, and multiplexed protein measurements that were once only possible with large, costly central lab equipment. This host-immune response assay can accurately differentiate between bacterial and viral infections in just 15 minutes.
Since bacterial and viral infections often present with similar symptoms, physicians face a difficult decision when determining whether antibiotics are necessary. By providing quick and accurate results, MeMed BV empowers physicians to make faster, more informed treatment decisions.

MeMed BV signature combines three host immune response proteins – TRAIL (the first FDA cleared virally induced protein), IP-10, and CRP – using a machine learned algorithm to accurately differentiate bacterial vs. viral infection.
