As part of a mission to create the perfect QC solution for Infectious disease testing, DiaMex created a scientific partnership with the National Referencing Laboratory (NRL). The NRL was established in 1985 as part of the Australian Government’s HIV/AIDS Strategy, to evaluate HIV tests and adjudicate on the interpretation of HIV test results. Today, the NRL is a designated WHO Collaborating centre for Diagnostics & Laboratory support and remains a not-for-profit scientific organisation that exists to benefit and promote the quality of tests for infectious diseases.
The alternative way to look at QC data – QConnect Limits. You can apply our own statistical methodology such as Westguard rules (+-3SD), however EDCNET provides you the option to use QConnect Limits which is a statistical methodology that uses historical data to set assay limits. Where traditional methods are over responsive in serology testing, QConnect Limits gives an easy to interpret daily reference of when testing may be out of control, so you can see variation of concern vs variation that is historically common in an assay/QC combination.
