Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a highly competent, experienced, administrator to join a small rapidly growing company who has the ability and competencies to perform many varied roles and tasks. The ideal candidate will be able to use their experience to improve and streamline the current administrative processes.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work on their own and with others remotely. They will need to be self-motivated and be committed to excellent customer service with a can-do attitude.
Due to the cloud-based infrastructure of AB Scientific it is not necessary for the successful candidate to work from the office and they will be able to work from their own home. They should have use of a dedicated office for this role. AB Scientific will provide all IT infrastructure required. There will be an occasional requirement to travel to different parts of the UK for company meetings.
The role will involve:
Sales order processing and invoicing.
Managing of standing orders.
Managing stock levels, purchasing & booking in stock on the system.
Arranging courier shipments from suppliers of both hazardous and non-hazardous products.
Monitoring of shipments and liaising with couriers on any issues arising.
Managing the service database and booking routine services and breakdown visits.
Booking of exhibitions and trade shows.

Exceptional IT skills across MS Office and the ability to learn new software quickly.
Excellent telephone manner, customer focused and able to deliver excellent customer service.
Handling of customer queries and complaints in a professional manner.
A general knowledge of logistics, couriers and dangerous goods (how to book shipments, comparing rates etc)
It is not essential that the candidate has all these skills but any of them would be an
advantage to bring more value to the role.
Worked in and experience of an ISO9001 company with the ability to help manage the QMS.
Experience of WordPress.
Experience of google AdWords.
A deeper knowledge of couriers and the shipping of hazardous goods.
Some scientific knowledge.
Advanced knowledge of SAGE50 and/or Zoho CRM.
